- At 14 yrs. of age, I read Irvine Stone's "The Agony and The Ecstasy". I had the privilege of visiting Florence, Italy that very same year. When I arrived, I knew every twist and turn of the city. My parents were amazed. I said to them didn't you read the book ?!? I tell you this because I was impressed with Lorenzo dei Medici and how he was the Grand Patron of the Arts.
